On November 2nd (2016) Hey Violet released their newest electropop single ‘Guys My Age’. The latest music video by the band has an 80’s vibe with the colours and lighting with them performing in a motel carpark- As you can see from the video above.
This single comes after the release of their EP ‘Brand New Moves’ back in August. ‘Guys My Age’ was co-written with Julian Bunetta, mainly known for collaborating with One Direction according to wegotthiscovered.com.
wegotthiscovered.com compare the latest sound by Hey Violet to females versions of 5SOS and also make the comparisons to the likes of Melanie Martinez and Halsey. Furthermore Celebmix.com state that the latest hit is not only groovy but eccentric and unique due to the style, the setting and colours through-out the music video.

The band are starting to grow in popularity and performed their latest single on the ‘Late Late Show with James Corden’ in America, where you can watch the clip below.
Performing on an ever grown popular TV Show would be beneficial to Hey Violet in brand promotion as well as gaining new fans of the Late Late Show. As the performance from the Talk Show has close to 200,000 views since November 16th. As the band are young and have very similar styles and humour to 5SOS it makes sense that they tour together!
The Los Angeles based band were the first band to sign to 5 Seconds of Summer’s (5SOS) label Hi or Hey Records. Hey Violet also toured around the world with 5SOS during 2015 and also the summer of 2016 according to Modest Management.
According to Modest Management the band will be releasing their debut album in 2017.
